Hiya, I’m Megan. I’m 19 years old and have just finished my first year at uni. I live locally the Avery Hill Campus, where I am studying Early years. It wasn’t my first choice for what I wanted to study at uni, I had applied for the Primary School teaching programme, for 5 different universities, and got rejected for them all. I then used UCAS extra and managed to choose a course that I would have hated. And therefore about a week before starting university I managed to speak to some helpful people who organised for me to meet with the programme leader and here I am today.
This course has opened so many options for me as I am no longer sure if I still want to be a primary school teacher yet and may do other things before hopefully settling into teaching. I am a carer for disabled adults outside of university, a job which I find very rewarding and heart-warming.
